Diana B. Alcorn, 93, of Sebring formally of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning April 23, 2015 in Franklin, NC. She was born on December 11, 1921 in Brantwood, NJ to parents Alknene (Kyrometes) and Leon Buyukas. Mrs. Alcorn has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 27 years moving here from Miami, then spending a short time in Sebring and Franklin, NC with her nephew and family. Mrs. Alcorn was a homemaker who enjoyed working around the house, cooking, gardening and loved to be with her family and friends. Mrs. Alcorn was of the Presbyterian faith. Mrs. Alcorn is survived by her loving nephew Richard Barden and extended family members. A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Alcorn’s life will be held 1:30 PM Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Drew Severance officiating.
