Antje Lucia Ubeda
Antje Lucia Ubeda, 64, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning November 27, 2013 at her residence. She was born on August 16, 1949 in St. Ingbert-Hasel, Germany to parents Johanna (Evers) and Ernst Alfred Schrems. Mrs. Ubeda received her Masters Degree in Biology, Baccalaureate Degrees in Education and Physical Education from the University of Berlin, Germany. She moved to Lake Placid 7 years ago from Newport News, VA where she was the owner of a Finical Service business which she continued here in Highlands County. Mrs. Ubeda was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, gardening, boating, traveling and spending time on the beach. Mrs. Ubeda cherished her time with family and friends especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Ubeda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Frankie; daughters, Karen Ubeda and Nicole Cutolo (Michael); grandchildren, Alexis and Jayden and a sister, Martina Korte (Werner) and their children, Martin and Lena. Mrs. Ubeda is also survived by numerous family members in Europe and America. A service for family and friends to celebrate Mrs. Ubeda’s life will be held 1:00 PM Friday December 6th, 2013 at her residence 141 Ida Avenue, Lake Placid with Mr. Chad Townsend officiating.
