Sarah Kathrine Young, 89, of Sebring passed away Friday evening October 9, 2009 at the BalMoral Assisted Living in Lake Placid. She was born on October 30, 1919 in Fairplay, GA to parents John G. and Modell (Gregg) Foster. She moved to Highlands County from Thomasville, NC after retiring as an occupational nurse. She was a member of the Johnsontown Methodist Church in Thomasville and the Buttonwood Bay Church as well as a Life Member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Young is survived by her loving children; Sandra Garbowski (Don) and Herbert Young (Linda), 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation and Funeral Services will take place at the J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC. There will be a service celebrating Mrs. Young’s life at a later date at the Buttonwood Bay Church. Local arrangements entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home 504 W.
