Obituary for Patricia Lou Thomas

Patricia Lou Thomas, 88, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Wednesday afternoon January 20, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring surround by her loving family.

Patricia was the daughter of Lula Modez Rutland and George Beck, who was born on March 10, 1927 in Tulsa, OK. Mrs. Thomas was a long time resident of Clewiston, Mrs. Thomas moved to Lake Placid 11 years ago. Mrs. Thomas was an avid reader who enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, sewing, taking care of babies in the nursery and loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lake Placid.

Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her loving husband John David Thomas. She is survived by her loving daughters, Diane Kimball (Gary), Teresa Mitchell (Daniel) and Rachel Deweese (Daniel); 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Thomas life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Bill Cole officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Clewiston.
