Anthony J Dumond
Anthony John Dumond, 28, of Lake Placid, went home to our Lord peacefully in his sleep on February 20, 2016. Anthony was born on February 13, 1988, in Ft. Myers, Florida, the beloved son of Melissa (Vavrosky) Milligan and John Dumond. Anthony, known as "Tony" to his friends, has been a permanent resident of Lake Placid since 2001, but regularly visited family and friends in the area since early childhood. A die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, Anthony also enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, debating political and social issues, as well as fellowship with family and friends. He previously served as an altar boy at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, in Claxton, Georgia, as well as St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Although an extremely private person, he was polite and kind to those around him, often coming to the aid of his friends and neighbors. Anthony is survived by his loving parents, his devoted grandparents, Roland and Joy Vavrosky of Lake Placid and Jennie Dumond of Lakeland, his beloved sister, Brittney Milligan of Ft. Myers Beach, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who will dearly miss his presence in this world. The family will celebrate Anthony's life privately, as would be his preference.
