Obituary for Jeanette R. Hagerup

Jeanette R. Hagerup, 69, of Lake Placid, went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, July 23, 2016, at the Vitas Hospice Unit in Sebring. She was the daughter of Rita (Brace) and Leo Snyder, and was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 29, 1946. Jeanette was a registered nurse and worked at the UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville until she moved to the Lake Placid area in 2005 from Ocala. She then worked for Hope Hospice and Pediatric Services of America. She was a member of the Florida Association of Nurses, the Rosary Ministry, and St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Jeanette enjoyed gardening, photography, travel, sewing, shelling, genealogy, and crafts of all kinds. She especially loved to be with her family and friends. Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Lars-Johan; sister: Rose (Paul) Selwa ; brothers: David (Claudia) Snyder and Dennis (Irene) Snyder, brothers-in-law: Tore (Brit) Hagerup and Geir (Carol) Hagerup, and seventeen nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Jeanette’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the St. James Catholic Church, 3380 Placid View Drive, Lake Placid, Florida, with Father Anthonio Jean officiating. Inurnment will follow at the St. James Gardens. The family suggests donations in Jeanette’s memory to the St. James Catholic Church.
