Obituary for Ethel Jerelle ""Jeri"" Schaar

Ethel Jerelle Schaar, known to her family and friends as "Jeri" Schaar, 80, of Lake Placid, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 21st, 2016 at the Good Shepard Hospice House in Sebring, Florida. Jeri was a native Floridian who was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Jeri is predeceased by her parents Willie Pearl Prevatt and Vanis E. Johnson as well as her loving husband Charles Schaar. Jeri retired from the medical field after many years of service as an office manager to explore and live the RV life with her husband Charlie. Jeri was quick to laugh and never met a stranger who didn't quickly became a friend. In 1996, Jeri moved from Sunrise, FL to Lake Placid to begin a new journey cultivating new friendships and new experiences. Jeri joined the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid where she worshiped and served. The one thing that brought the most joy to Jeri was spending time with her family(especially the grandkids) and friends. Playing and running after her many grandchildren filled her life with love, laughter and energy keeping her young at heart.
Jeri is survived by her loving children; Sandra Crovo (Jim), Robin Fraska (Mitch), Ernest Richardson (Jackie), and James Richardson (Teresa); 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, as well as three brothers; Vanis "Buddy" Johnson, Robert "Bobby" Sanders, and Terry Sanders.
We invite you to join her family in a Celebration of Life Service to honor the life and the incredible legacy Jeri Schaar has left. The service will be held at Placid Lakes Homeowners Town Hall at 2010 Lake Placid Blvd on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at 2pm.
