Obituary for Charles F. Doyle

Charles F.  Doyle
Charles. F. Doyle, Jr. “Charlie”, 75 of Sebring, went to be with his Lord on Monday morning, November 7, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. Charlie was the son of Mary (Carroll) and Charles F. Doyle of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He was born April 26, 1941 in Brockton, Massachusetts. Charlie was a graduate of Bridgewater High School where ‘Skipper’ played all sports but excelled at football and track. From there he entered the United States Navy and served with Honors on the U.S.S. Essex from 1959 to 1963. While serving in the military he met the love of his life, Sylvia in Buffalo, New York and began his employment with General Motors. He retired after thirty-two years as the Assistant Personnel Director and Supervisor of Labor Relations. Charlie and Sylvia moved to Sebring ten years ago from Centerville, New York. Charlie was an avid golfer, who enjoyed a good game wherever he could play. He really enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a passionate Buffalo Bills fan and could be found watching the game every Sunday, while eating his favorite pizza. Charlie was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. He was also a member of the Sebring VFW #4300, American Legion Post #25, including Commander of the American Legion Post #1720 in Bliss, NY. Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his loving son Anthony (Tony). He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sylvia (Baginski); son James Michael (Heather) of Hedgesville, West Virginia; daughter Colleen Johnson (Kelvin) of Salt Lake City, Utah; sons Brian Patrick (Catarina) of Pikeville, North Carolina; Christopher Charles (Kristy) of Flagler Beach, Florida; and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Maureen Rosa of Middleboro, Massachusetts and a brother Robert (Nancy) of Halifax, Massachusetts. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Charlie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on December 19th at the Saint James Catholic Church in Lake Placid.
