Obituary for Janet E. West

Janet E. West, 82, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord early Sunday morning, December 4, 2016 at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lake Placid. Janet was the daughter of Gerdine and Henry Morgan who was born in Linefork, KY on October 30, 1934. Janet worked for many years in the hotel industry, owning her own business until her retirement. Janet never knew a stranger, she was a friend to everyone she meet. Janet moved to Lake Placid from Moore Haven seven years ago and was of the Christian faith. Janet enjoyed a good game of cards and loved to be with her family and friends. Janet is survived by her loving children; Vickie Maxwell and Aaron West (fiancée Donna); 2 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 1 great-grandson; sisters; Jeres and Jerene; brothers; Bruce, Ken, Gerald and Larry and her loving pet Molly. A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held at a latter date.
