Elyse Barbara McKnight, 30, Tampa native and life long resident of Brandon passed away at home on January 7, 2017 after a short, courageous battle with Cancer. Elyse was a graduate of Riverview High and attended St. Petersburg College. Elyse also worked as a Legal Assistant and as a supervisor for Centerplate at Tropicana Field. Elyse is survived by her Mother, Mary Ellen Couch King (Buzz) of Maryville, TN; Father Brian McKnight (Gloria) of Brandon, FL; brother Raymond McKnight; step sisters Kelly King and Kelsey King Corcoran; step brother Kyle King and her pride & joy Bishop, her Boxer-mix as well as many aunts, uncles & cousins. Elyse had a deep love for family and friends and spent her time and energy doing for them. An avid athlete all her life, she enjoyed playing, watching and following sports, especially her beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers and FSU Seminoles. Taken from us way too soon, Elyse along with her infectious smile will be terribly missed by all that knew her. A service to celebrate Elyse’s life will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2017 at the River of Life Christian Church in Brandon with Pastor Johnny Honaker officiating.
