Obituary for Faye J. Moody

Faye J. Moody, 80, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning April 4, 2017 at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Moody was the daughter of Nola Mae Teague and Erman Edward Bowling who was born on June 11, 1936 in Earle, Arkansas. Mrs. Moody has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1972 moving here from Indiana. On most Sunday mornings, Mrs. Moody could be found at her church, the Placid Temple Church of God in Lake Placid. Mrs. Moody enjoyed fishing, embroidering, watching soap operas and keeping up with her family and friends on her phone as well as writing letters to them. Mrs. Moody loved to spend time with her family and friends especially her grand and great grand children. Mrs. Moody is preceded in death by her loving husband Arthur and son Thomas E. Moody. She is survived by her loving children; Treasa J. Bowling and David A. Moody; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters; JoAn Prescott and Joyce Y. Najacht. A service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held 12 Noon Monday April 10, 2017 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd. Lake Placid with Rev. Dr. Belinda West officiating. A visitation for the family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
