Obituary for Patricia A. Bullock

Patricia A. Bullock
Patricia A. Bullock, 73, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away April 17, 2017, after a short illness.

Born Oct. 3, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Mich., Pat was the daughter of the late Lowell and Patricia (Gaspar) Lindquist. She was raised in Marquette, Mich., and graduated from Graveraet High School in 1961. She attended St. Luke's School of Nursing, receiving her cap in 1962, and subsequently graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1967 with a B.S. in Elementary Education.

Pat married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Tim Bullock, in 1965. They relocated to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., where Pat had a brilliant career as an elementary teacher. Pat loved teaching. She touched the lives of many students in her thirty plus years in education. Pat remained in contact with many of them through social media. She never stopped caring about her students and helped them throughout their adult lives.

Pat enjoyed traveling to Florida on vacations with her family. In 2007, she and Tim became permanent residents in Lake Placid, Florida. Pat was very involved in the community where she resided, participating in various clubs and activities.

Pat enjoyed golf, photography and traveling with her family and friends. Her brightest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her infant son, Mark Bullock. Pat had two daughters, Pam (Doug) Laprade and Kris (Alan) Dunbar, both of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Pat was very close to her four grandchildren, Ryan and Kristen Laprade, and Tyler and Jaylen Dunbar. Pat was often found in a gymnasium or ice arena, or at a baseball field cheering them on.

Pat was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lindquist. She is survived by two brothers, Ted Lindquist of Palm Desert, Calif., and Tim (Carol) Lindquist of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

A memorial service celebrating Pat's life will be held Thursday April 27, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 43 Lake June Rd., Lake Placid, Fl.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Park Cemetery in Marquette, Michigan.

The family suggests donations in Pat's memory be made to the MARSP Foundation or a charity of your choice.
