Obituary for Bobby C White

Bobby C. White, 83, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Thursday afternoon, May 11, 2017 at his residence. Bobby was the son of Edna (Guest) and Walter James White who was born on November 1, 1933 in Canal Point, FL. Mr. White served his country with honors in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He then went to work for the Southern Bell Telephone Company working his way up to management and retiring with Bell South after a 30 year career. Bobby has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 22 years moving here from Wellington. Bobby enjoyed traveling in his motor home, a good round of golf and visiting with his close friends and loved to be with his family. Mr. White is survived by his loving wife Sandra, sons; Jimmy, Robert and Gary, grandchildren; Viola, Savannah and Morgan. A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid where Bobby was an active member, 118 N. Oak Avenue, Lake Placid with Pastors Ray Cameron and Drew Severance officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one of the following; First Presbyterian Church Genesis Center, Good Shepherd House 1110 Hammock Road Sebring, FL 33870, Moffit Cancer Center 12902 USF Magnolia Drive Tampa, FL 33612.
