Obituary for Patty H. Blount

Patty H. Blount, 76, of Lake Placid, Florida went home to be with her Lord on Friday afternoon June 9, 2017 at the Vitas Hospice Unit in Sebring, Florida. Patty Marie was born on May 7, 1941 in Gordonsville, VA. Patty had been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 14 years since leaving her hometown in Virginia. She was the youngest daughter of Daisy Dandridge and Chauncey Hoffman who preceded her in death along with six older siblings. Patty enjoyed gardening around the house and looking over her flowers, dancing, sewing, cooking, baking and caring for her adorable Maltese, Maggie. She loved being with her family and friends whenever she could, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband since 1960, Richard, daughters; Tina Garrett (Mike) of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Lori Horner (Jerry) of Orange, Virginia, four grandchildren; Lauren, Austin, Ian, and Nathan, a sister; Doris Hendrick and two brothers; Glen and Jimmy Hoffman, many nieces, nephews and cousins. A service to celebrate Patty’s life will be held at a later date in Virginia.
