Obituary for Herbert Easton Taylor

Herbert Eston Taylor, 87, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Thursday afternoon at The Manor on Lake Jackson in Sebring. Herbert was the son of Lilly Texas (Rowan) and Joe Crawford Taylor who was born on March 19, 1930 in Berrien County, Georgia. Herbert served his country with honors in the US Air Force in Korea, retiring with 20 years of service. He then went to work as a real estate agent in Ft. Lauderdale, FL then moved to Lake Placid 24 years ago. Herbert enjoyed boating on the local lakes in the area and loved to be with his family and friends especially his grand and great grandchildren. Herbert was a member of the First Assembly of God Lake Placid. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Martha Helen and is survived by his loving children; Deborah J. Sparbeck and Larry E. Taylor, his seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren who he was know as Pawpaw. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday, August 28, 2017 with a service to celebrate Herbert’s life at 3:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Johnny Bryant officiating. Further services and burial will be in Nashville, GA at the Lovein Funeral Home 1218 Adel Road Nashville, GA. Burial will be at the Westview Cemetery.
