Obituary for Thomas A. Dillon

Thomas A. Dillon, 82, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring. Thomas was the son of Catherine and Thomas Dillon who was born on February 19, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. Thomas served his country with honors in the US Marine Corps. After serving his country, Thomas went to work in the communications industry, retiring as a technician with Southern Bell. After retiring Thomas and his wife Bobbi moved to the Lake Placid area in 1990 from Hollywood, FL. Thomas was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 25 and the VFW Post 3880. Thomas enjoyed cooking bar-be-que, playing a good hand of poker, testing his skills in darts and playing shuffleboard. Thomas loved to be around his family and friends. Thomas is preceded in death by his loving wife Bobbi, grandson, David Stoltz. He is survived by his loving children; Kathy Stoltz (Carl), Kelli Moldenhauer (Brian) and Thomas E. Dillon and three grandchildren. A service to celebrate Thomas’ life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd. with Lake Placid Elks Lodge 2661 and Father Anthonio Jean officiating. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard.
