Obituary for James Anthony Reagan

James Anthony Reagan, 70, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Thursday evening November 2, 2017 at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. James was the son of Sallie (Green) and Bernard Reagan. He was born on September 21, 1947 in Dalton, Georgia. James served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. James moved to Highlands County during the 70’s and eventually started his own lawn care business where he made many lifelong friends. James was active in many organizations; as Past Commander of the VFW Post 3880, Lake Placid Moose Lodge and Moose Legion, Lake Placid Elks Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sebring, and the American Legion Placid Post 25. James enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing. He is preceded in death by his loving son Matthew and is survived by his beloved and loving wife “Miss Penny”, daughters; Brandi (Ronnie) and Sherry, son: James W. (Megan), 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Judy (Andy) Rimes, Joan (Bill) Bailey, and a brother Al (Helen) Reagan. A service to celebrate James life, will be held Friday, November 10, from 3:00 – 6:00 at the Lake Placid Moose Lodge, with military honors being presented by the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard. The world has lost a very precious soul.
