Obituary for Lillian J. Masterson

Lillian J. Masterson, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with The Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2017. She received care from her loving granddaughter, Sarah Smith until the time of her passing. Lillian was the daughter of Bernadetta Cirtwell and Bert Helmer who was born on July 17, 1930 in Plessis, New York. Lillian moved to the Lake Placid area from Hallandale, FL in 1980. Lillian was a member of the Lake Placid Ladies of the Elks Lodge, Lake Placid Moose Lodge and was of the Christian Faith. Lillian enjoyed making ceramics, embroidering, making hook rugs, a good word search puzzle, the challenge of a board puzzle, working with her plants around the house and bird watching. Lillian enjoyed being with her family and friends, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Edward Masterson and her step-daughter Michelle Bonilla. She is survived by her loving children: Diana and husband Robert Spellan, Michelle Stokes, Bert and wife Kathleen, Floyd, Lawrence, son-in-law Juan Bonilla, step-daughter; Sandra Bordes, 15 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. A service will be held at a later date at the Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
