Obituary for William A. Lamos

William A. Lamos, 88, of Moore Haven, FL, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Lake Placid health and Rehabilitation Center. William was born on February 25, 1929 in Painesville, Ohio to parents, Evelyn (Black) and Eugene Lamos. William had a passion for flying, he soloed at and early age and carried the passion with him when he served his country with honors in the US Maine Corps as an air traffic controller. Once he completed his enlistment William went on to earn his commercial pilot’s certificate. He started his own charter air service out of Miami, FL flying to the Bahamas and up and down the Florida coast. William earned his A and P certificate and serviced his fleet of six aircraft. William enjoyed flying, meeting interesting people and working around the house. He loved traveling in his fifth wheel camper around the country, spending time with his family and friends. William is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Deborah. In keeping with William’s wishes, services will be private for the family.
