Obituary for Charlotte Anna McIntire

Charlotte Anna McIntire, 92, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Monday evening, February 12, 2018, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. She was born on February 23, 1925, in Cranesville, PA to parents Emma Fuessler and Orrin McIntire. Miss McIntire retired after over 20 years of teaching at a Christian school in Flint, Michigan. She moved to Lake Placid in 1977 and became a partner in Emmanuel Bible Book Shop in Lake Placid. Miss McIntire was an avid reader who enjoyed a good crossword puzzle. Miss. McIntire was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid and the adult Sunday school class. Miss McIntire loved to spend time with her family, friends, and extended family at church. She accompanied her nieces and nephews on many summer driving trips over the years to places around the Great Lakes and Canada. She enjoyed writing and receiving letters from family in her later years. Nothing gave her greater joy and peace than knowing that others had accepted the Lord into their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ernest, Donald, Arthur, and Jack Sr., and a nephew Jack McIntire, Jr.

She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews Sandra McIntire, Ronald McIntire (Margo), Raymond McIntire (Linda), Bradley McIntire (Laura), Connie Riley (John), James McIntire (Sohee), Judith Marklow (Donald), Jon Mcintire and dear friend and business partner Miss Joyce Birdsill.

A service to celebrate Miss McIntire’s life will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid, 119 E. Royal Palm Street in Lake Placid with Pastor Keith Campbell officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid Mission Funds.
