Bruce R. O’Bea, 75, passed away on April 13, 2010 in Lake Placid. He was a long time resident of the area coming here from Ft. Lauderdale, FL., in 1970 to help run the family business, O’Bea Bait and Tackle. He was also a retired mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Lake Placid. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy (Dottie) Ray O’Bea. He is survived by a brother, Dennis O’Bea (Judy) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister Gail Menke of Tampa, FL; son Michael O’Bea (Becky) of Leavenworth, KS; daughters Lisa Hall (Steve) of Ormond Beach, FL; Lynne Hartzell (Ron), of Lake Placid; Annemarie O’Bea (Kelli) of Atlanta, GA; and Shannon Albright (Tim) of Avon Park; 8 grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
