Theresa M. Usefof, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday afternoon June 11, 2013 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid. She was born on November 9, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Mary (Ryan) and Thomas Mesler. She and her husband Joseph moved to Lake Placid in 1988 from Miami. Mrs. Usefof was an active member in the Lake Placid VFW Post 3880 and American Legion Placid Post 25 Ladies Auxiliary, Lake Placid Moose Lodge 2374 and St James Catholic Church. Mrs. Usefof loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Joseph; sons, Leonard Usefof (Marla) and Donald Usefof (Cindy) grandchildren, Elyssa, Stephanie, Abigail and Anthony. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM this Saturday June 22, 2013 at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive, Lake Placid with Father Luis Albarracin officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
