Robert M. Walstrom
Robert M. Walstrom, age 52, of Lake Placid fell asleep in death on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at the Lake Placid Florida Hospital. Robert was a beloved son, brother and friend. He was born September 22, 1964 in Phillipsburg, PA. As a youth he enjoyed playing sports, working out and cars. He was the oldest of seven children and took his role seriously. In 1986 Robert was in an accident that changed his life and the lives of his family forever. Confined to a wheelchair he still was a voice for good, striving to help teens make good decisions. Robert had been a resident of Lake Placid for many years after moving from New Jersey, to the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. There he made many friends. Robert became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2009 and enjoyed attending the Kingdom Hall. Robert never knew a stranger and he enjoyed being around people. Robert left behind to cherish his memory, his loving mother and stepfather Geraldine & Frank Vassilis. Brother, David Walstrom, wife Diana and their four children. Sister, Sandra Lemus, husband Ismael, and their five children and their families. Sister, Irene Morinico, husband Michael, and their two children. Brother, Michael Walstrom. Sister, Lisa Rodriguez, husband Luis, their three children and their families. Sister, Stefany Mosesman, husband Robert, and their four children. He is also survived by a cousin that was like a brother, Fred Torlish, as well as many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. Robert’s memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 172 Holmes Avenue Lake Placid, FL 33852.
