Obituary for Elizabeth Palvolgyi

Elizabeth Palvolgyi, 88, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Sunday night November 5, 2017 at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. Elizabeth was born on July 27, 1929 in Hungary. She moved to the United States at an early age and lived on Miami Beach. She and her husband Paul moved to the Lake Placid area in 1984 from Miami Beach. Elizabeth was an active member at the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid and Lake Placid Orchid Society. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, needle point and baking for her family and friends. She loved to be around her family and friends especially all her grand and great grandchildren. Mrs. Palvolgyi is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Palvolgyi and daughter Lenke Shekastehband. She is survived by her loving granddaughters; Marie Vanterpool and Shirley Lynch, six great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a step son Gabor Palvolgyi. A service to celebrate both Elizabeth’s and Lenke’s life will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Ray Cameron officiating. Mrs. Palvolgyi will be laid to rest next to her husband Paul in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
